Swami Anant Maitrey

Born in 1976, Swami Anant Maitrey (Sumit Kumar Garg) is a thinker, seeker, and spiritual traveler whose life has been wholly devoted to the pursuit of Truth, Dharma, Soul, and the Divine.

He was deeply influenced by the noble values of his parents — Late Shri Mansharam Garg and Late Smt. Sita Devi. Their virtues of compassion, sensitivity, and introspection planted the seeds of self-awareness in him, which gradually blossomed into a tree of spiritual consciousness.

His journey has always transcended the material plane, flowing towards the inner realms of the Self and God. Across various stages of life, he explored many paths in his search for truth —
in the silent valleys of the Himalayas through meditation,
in the depths of ancient scriptures and Upanishadic wisdom,
and at the Sufi shrines, where he learned the language of silence.

These were not merely outer pilgrimages but profound inner journeys — where every experience became a teacher, and every question, a doorway.

The teachings and literature of Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh (Osho) had a deep and lasting influence on his spiritual growth. Osho’s words gave him the vision to see life in its depth and wholeness, and to realize that —

“Spirituality is not renunciation, but awakening.”

Further refinement of his consciousness took place under the guidance of Ma Dharma Jyoti, a close disciple of Osho, and Shri Ashok Bharti Ji, in whose presence he practiced meditation, silence, and self-awareness.

He also received profound inspiration from Lovedharma Sakha Ji, the founder of Sakha Wellness, Chandigarh, who taught him to perceive life through simplicity, compassion, and love — that the path of the spirit is not just knowledge, but also tenderness and humility.

The blessings and teachings of Mahamandaleshwar Yugpurush Shri Swami Parmanand Giri Ji Maharaj, of Akhand Paramdham, Haridwar, have also played a significant role in shaping his journey. Their wisdom awakened within him the harmony of dispassion, discernment, and devotion — the guiding forces of his spiritual path.

This vast and multidimensional journey finds expression in his writings. His two major works are —

“Islam: Solution or Problem” – an insightful exploration into the essence of religion and the conflicts born out of its social interpretations.

“Dharma, Soul and God” – a deep reflection on the essence of Dharma, the eternal nature of the Soul, and the realization of the Divine.

Swami Anant Maitrey’s writings transcend sects and dogmas; they embody a universal quest for truth. As he believes —

“Truth is not confined to temples, mosques, or scriptures;
it resides in that sacred silence where the ‘I’ dissolves,
and only ‘That’ remains — which the awakened ones have called God.”

Through his writings, discourses, and meditative inspirations, he continues to remind seekers that —

“The true journey is not outward, but inward.
When the mind is silent, Truth begins to speak.”
